We settled on something that was partially cloud-like, and partially glittery.

It's cute, but...
We didn't end up using the glitter clouds to the effect I was hoping.
Even still the idea is still present.
It started with a glitter material I made in Substance 3D Designer
I created a slider to make it look iridescent...
shape...
scale...
density...
color...
and a volume shader as well

One of my favorite things to figure out was the glitter dust cloud. Ghee Happy made some important choices about what to feature, and what not to feature, and "dynamics" was one of the first things to not be chosen. Not only does it not match the show style, but we all felt that the costs could be better spent elsewhere. So for FX, we made some very stylized choices to represent clouds, dust, and glitter.
